    (Deconstruction, of a sign) the capacity to be repeatable in different contexts.

    I see what you mean - it’s incredibly applicable to my work. From Derrida’s work - Repeated familiar expressions (signs, symbols) ‘iterate’ (by repetition) away from the original intended meaning. Signifiers are prevented from corresponding to their intended signifieds!

    Meaning undergoes a new transformation through every repetition and appears through its new use and context; it breaks out of contexts.

    I read an interesting point about this. Meaning from a linguistic expression comes from its use/context (and that these contexts cannot actually be defined) therefore they cannot provide any clear definition of context in the first place? - a bit confusing!
